What to do

A haircut visit has its own everyday vocabulary: you may book an appointment, ask for a trim, describe the sides or bangs, and hear the barber or stylist name tools such as scissors, clippers and a comb.

The goal is recognition and useful communication, not memorizing professional styling terminology. Start with the 18 core words, then use the Family list for broader exposure.
